Righto, here's the first Song of the Week thread. The general idea of this thread is to recommend one song that you've come across recently or even just a song that is a real favourite for others to search out and try for themselves.

It'd be nice if a description of either the type of music (if it's a less well-known band) or the song itself could be added - if you feel like it that is And if the song has meaning to you for whatever reason or there's a story behind it feel free to share

Anyway, I'm gonna be kicking most things off tonight so I'll start this one rolling with

Boxcar Racer - Letters to God

For those of you who don't know Boxcar Racer is a side-project (or '2nd band') of Blink 182 members Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker, so as you might expect the music itself is in the vein of pop/punk. But having said that, the songs themselves aren't quite as light and airy as Blink's material - there's more of a subdued, maybe even grown-up tone to these songs, and I for one like them better for it.
