Someone sent me this video earlier this morning and I was absolutely shocked by it although I have to admit it did give me a little chuckle, in the sense of oooh my god you can't do that!! Did they really just do that!



Apparently after the incident became widely known the deputy has been put on unpaid leave, however, the fact that 3 supervisors were nearby and didn't do anything (except laugh) and no report was made up about the incident in my eyes shows the general disrespect for the people who are put in their care that goes a lot further than just that one deputy.

I guess it just shows once more that people who are in a position where they can wield power over others are very often not the people that should be given these powers. Seems the slogan "to serve and protect" is somewhat outdated.

(And before anyone complains, yes I'm aware it's probably not a fair representation of police officers in general, would probably do a fine job to the best of their ability, but you know what they say about a few rotten apples)
