I adored him in 10 Things I Hate About You. Not usually bothered about stuff like people I don't know about dying but I feel genuinly sad about

Looks like it's in post production though so hopefully it will not impact the movie too badly.

I'm in a state of utter shock at this news. I'm not particularly a fan of the man, but this was something i wasn't expecting to read. He's 28 years old and he has a two year old daughter who looks exactly like him.

Horrible news. RIP.

This is just horrible, what a shock. Always the last person you expect.

Damn, he was one of the few mainstream big names I had time for. It's a shame to see him gone.

As I was saying to Wo (on a slightly macabre note), The Dark Knight, being Ledger's last film (that I know of) will probably end up with a slight Brandon Lee vibe to it.

He was in the middle of filming something else, he was actually in London last week doing some work.

As for his death, I was shocked at first but I'm hearing more and more rumours of drugs being involved and if thats the case then my sympathy for him starts to waver...

From what i've seen they found pills (no one seems to have said whether they were prescription, sleeping or illegal) near his bed, but no other evidence of suicide. So he could of topped himself or it could have been an allergic reaction, or he made a silly mistake and accidentally overdosed.

Any of the above, or something different.

Either way, very sad for his little girl and family.

They were prescription pills, but as yet no mention has been made of accidental (or otherwise) overdose being the cause of death, only that the circumstances were not seen as suspicious.

I was kinda shocked to hear this news. It's always a shame when someone so young dies. :-(

Damn right. That was sick.

My paper today says it may have been natural causes after all. Kinda hope so.

For what its worth Christopher Nolan has confirmed that Heath had completed all the post-production dialogue recording aka 'looping', and no reshoots were scheduled, so what was by far his biggest role yet will be seen as intended.
