Vodka and Red Bull is good, though how it would taste sober i have no idea. It makes my friend forget everything, which is great when you get to explain what she got up to the next day... next time i'm gonna have to remember to invent stuff for this ahead of time

Never had Red Bull without the Vodka....It's a fantastic mix, but not quite as good as Vodka/Irn Bru

I have it during exam time It does help then, i need all the help i can get trying to concentrate and stay focused. My mind is easily strayed!

This thread has just reminded me, I've had an open can of the stuff in my fridge for the last two weeks. Must throw it out (or drink it)

I love redbull!!! And to the small band of others that agree - well done! I think it tastes slightly like some kind of cough medicine (Hmm im not exactly selling it here). The smell is weird, but ive grown to like it, and the taste...oh its heaven. My friends think im weird for adoring the taste. For the best flavour sensation I find it should be sipped. Downing a whole load of it, just doesnt do it justice, and it will also be a bit sickly. The best way is to just sip a little, and its the lingering aftertaste after you swallow that IS SO GOOD!!

They are vastly overpriced though - aimed at drunk people who dont care by that point how expensive they are.

And as for what is in it? Well Taurine is used to treat epileptics, at least it can be, its not the only drug used for that purpose. When used to treat epileptics its used in much higher doses than is present in Red Bull though. It also contains some vitamins, and something like Panthonenic Acid, which I believe is related to Panthenol used in Pantene shampoo

I think Red Bull is banned in a couple of countries too.

So its altogether a bit of a weird drink, but I still love it.

If you want dodgy drinks though, my favourite has to be any 'Diet' drink containing Aspartame...dont get me started on that one, suffice to say that if you do a search on the web for Aspartame there is a wealth of facts about the stuff and none of it tends to be nice...

Ok, enough ranting!

Red Bull and Vodka! I prefer the pre-mixed Red Square when I am sober. I remember the first time I had this stuff. I was starting to feel tired, but a couple of sips later I was back to my normal peppy self.

Good stuff!

Had a can of Cherry Coke today, my first in years. Much nicer. My student days were fuelled by midnight runs to the all-night garage for Wotsits, Cherry Coke and cheap cigarettes.

Double Vodka and Red Bull is essential for any major night out. Least it is at my age...

As for the taste, well it reminds me of a slightly sticky sweet version of Vimto, and not too bad at that.

Also, I vaguely remember from my days of being involved in the running of a student bar that it contains something like five times the daily recommended caffeine level, and three quarters of the chemical composition of speed. The rest can be replaced if drunk with black coffee, or so I'm told...

Must be my age but I can't quite remember how I came across that information...

I was doing a drama production, and the only thing I could afford from the shops while I was waiting around backstage was red bull.

I wondered why I was so buzzed, and made such an idiot of muself!

Cherry Coke!!!!.. oohh the memories!... it was really popular when i'd just met Ray (back in '88) and we used to drink gallons of the stuff and i thought it was lovely... now it's just too sweet

Red Bull's OK,

I don't tend to drink it very often with vodka as it is horribly expensive. I do indulge occasionally when I have a raging hangover (without the vodka of course).

Yep Red Bull and other drinks like Red Square are definitely banned from France for a particular ingredient.

I've never tried Red Bull, never want to by the description Random has given either :eek:

Although I have known people to swig Red Bull after taking proplus which can't be good for you !!


Oh and whilst we are on vile drinks .. is there anyone else here that is repulsed by Dr Pepper?? !
