Bet you thought I forgot about this huh?

Ok then, there is a month to go to this, and I need your guys help. We’re a bit short on numbers as we are only at about 22 people for definite (Or who I can say will defo be there but others are still unsure). This needs pimped out like a hottie on a Saturday night.

To maintain the £5 entry fee I need about another 10 attendees to make it comfortable. I know that’s gonna be tricky, but all the same, I’ll do what I can as well. If you think there may be someone interested, then by all means, bring them. As long as they help towards the hire cost of the room by paying a fiver then I’m happy.

Now as far as other things go, I think everyone who has said they are going, already knows what the cities attractions are. There is the Bullring shopping centre for mulling about on the Saturday for all those hungover people from the night before. I’m sure some of us could spend the day on there alone with it being so big. There will be no sightings of me in chav white sweaters this year though. The hotel is literally spitting distance (apparently) from Broad Street, so there is a wealth of bars and pubs to weave in and out of.

There is also a Cineworld Cinema (Formerly the UGC) on Broad Street and that was pretty big from what I remember. Unfortunately there isn’t anything like a Bowling Alley closeby as the closest one is about a 10-15 minute drive, and that’s if you know where you are going.

I’m not gonna lie to you all, there isn’t a multitude of things to do in Birmingham city centre, but if you are all hungover from the night before, then by the time you get outta bed and mill around, then it’ll be time to get ready for the party.

Now then, that’s the activities part sorted. Now to the accommodation side of things.

It should be noted that the GB Judo World Cup is on the same weekend as the G-Party, so hotel room availability may be a little slim, so if you haven’t booked one yet, I suggest you do to get it allocated. You can always cancel a couple of days before if you think you won’t be able to go. If you need any more info, by all means email me, or look at one of the many threads on T21.

My side of things is still going well. I’ve got the sound system pre-booked, the playlist is coming along well (although I might just play it by ear on the night and DJ it freestylee lol) the transport there sorted, and my hotel room booked along with the hire of the room itself. I’ve spoke regularly with the staff at the James Brindley and usually they would require a deposit upfront apparently, but seeing as I’ve been on the phone that much, they have said it can wait and can be paid in full on the night. That’s why I need more attendees, if we can’t come up with the cash, then I’m not staying to wash any of their dishes

EDIT - Actually there is a bowling alley at 5 Ways next to the AMC cinema. Just over the road and across the roundabout from the old UGC.
