Rocky Horror Meet - Birmingham, Saturday April 5th

Calling all sweet Transvestites from Transexual in Transylvania, wandering lovers and unconventional conventionalists...

On Saturday the 5th of April next year, at the Birmingham Hippodrome, there will be a performance of the Rocky Horror Show, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the stage show.

And I think T21 should be there.

So, sign up below. Once we have an idea of numbers I'll place a group booking for us. And as others have pointed out in the previous thread, speed is probably of the essence here, as tickets are likely to sell out.

Also, if anyone wants to help with finding a suitable hotel for crashing in, I'd be much obliged.

So, I recommend we go for the Â£14.50 seats, and will make an order for these in just over a weeks time. So, as well as posting here, can people please email me at Jayjay@Jayjay.org.uk to confirm they want to be included in the group booking. I will buy a group set of tickets based on emails recieved by noon on Monday 25th of November. People can be added after that, but I won't be able to guarantee that we'll be able to sit together.</edit>

Cash - ASAP really. I'll post more about it once I've made the booking. But basically the sooner you can pay the bigger Chrimbo presents I can buy people. However, I appreciate that this is a tough time of year for some people and am prepared to wait til after the new year if I have to.

Lioness, no worries, even though you still haven't sent a confirmation email. As it's you I'll make an exception.

So that makes 16. Due to me being a useless waste of space (and to give a few people a little longer to confirm), I still haven't ordered the tickets, and they aren't open now till tomorrow. Currently I have a list of 16 people wanting to go, and unless I get an email before midday tomorrow, 16 is the number of tickets I will buy.

And Koala, I'm hurt! I thought we had something special. But now you say it could be anything, even a lamp post...

OK, here's the deal...

The 8.30PM show is sold out (near enough).
We can get a group discount but only for a minimum of 20 people.
I currently have a list of 16 confirmed people.

So... I've booked 20 seats in the mid-stalls for the 5pm showing on the 5th. Normally these are Â£18.50 for this showing, but if we can get four or more people to book then it drops Â£14.50 each.

So who else wants in? Those all ready in - get recruiting!

Also, there is a fee if I pay by cheque/visa and not cash in person. This would work out at Â£15.22. So once we have the numbers, I could write a cheque to someone here for the money and they could go and pay in cash for us all, and save us a bit of cash .. if someone who lives in Birmingham is up for that?

And yes, Peg, when they said the showing was full, my heart sank. When they then said there were loads of tickets for 5pm, a moment passed, and then a huge smile broke out as I realised the post show silliness we could get up to!
