Nintendo DS Lite gets a release date and price
That's right, Nintendo's redesigned and much improved revision of it's best selling handheld is coming to European shores.
Nintendo is no stranger to redesigning their systems. There was the Gameboy, which became the Gameboy Colour. Then there was the Gameboy Advance, which became the Gameboy Advance SP. Which became the Gameboy Micro.
Well now the Nintendo DS is becoming the Nintendo DS Lite. It's improved in all the right places. 40% smaller, new buttons in new positions, new screen technology that makes games much brighter and more vibrant. A cover over the GBA slot stops Gremlins and stuff getting inside and causing trouble. It's also generally much sleeker. It's the system they should of released first time around, much like the SP was to the GBA. Take a peek at the white version:
The system will also ship on launch day in sexy black. I prefer the white myself, but there you go.
And what will all these improvements cost you? £99.99, a small tenner above the original Nintendo DS price. Not bad really.
And when? June 23rd is the date all this Nintendo goodness spills forth into the world.
