Right off the bat, Nintendo are in my good books. They did two things right, the held it at a civil time of day for Europe, and they didnt take TWO FREAKIN HOURS like Sony did.

Youd think a 9.30 am start would lack the atmosphere of an evening show, but the crowd were infinitely more psyched at Nintys presentation. Opening to crowd pleasing montage, Nintendo did exactly what I wanted... almost.

Skimming over the success of the DS and the philosophy of risk, they got down to demos, like Zelda, at launch. A nice live demo involving the Wii controler got the audience even more on side. More montages, a new Mario game brough cheers. New Metroid looks Metroidy, and a Red Steel demo proved how well an FPS would work. As someone who can only use a mouse and keyboard combo, Im psyched.

Surprise of the show was a new feature, the main controller in addition to full motion sense, and rumblepack (HA Sony), the controller features a speaker for what they call depth of sound. Now when you mimic the action of a bow, it will SOUND like a bow, when you hit a tennis ball, youll get the racket 'thwap' in your hand. Cool or what?

More DS uptalking followed including some significant titles. What Ninty didnt do was name a price or a date, just less than the opposition, and Q4 06. Neither of which was news.

A four way tennis match between 3 nintendo bigwigs and a competition winner closed the show, and hopeless as they were, it just showed how intuitive the controls were, and made me want one more.
