The Thing prequel planned?
I've long hoped to find out what happened to Kurt Russell's character MacReady at the end of the John Carpenter 1982 classic The Thing, but I'd settle for what could be the ordeal of the ill-fated Norweigan expedition depicted in the earlier stages of the film, and might get to if these rumours about a prequel are true.
The folks behind the recent Slither and 2002's Dawn of the Dead remake are meant to be looking for someone to write a script, which I'm happy about as I loved DotD and have been meaning to see Slither for ages.
It would be nice to have Carpenter onboard in an advisory capacity, even though his directing skills sadly seem to be a shadow of their former selves by most accounts.
